The Home of Hout Bay Rugby

Hout Bay Honey Badgers Rugby is more than just a rugby club—it’s a place where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We provide a fun and safe environment for young players to build confidence and forge new friendships, to develop teamwork and embrace the power of sport.

Inspired by the resilience and fearlessness of the honey badger, we unite kids from all backgrounds through the spirit of determination, camaraderie, and play—fostering a sense of community and a love for rugby that goes beyond the game.

Honey Badgers Rugby Philosophy

At Hout Bay Honey Badgers, we focus on movement, agility, and game awareness before introducing contact.

Our coaching emphasizes running rugby, teamwork, and spatial awareness, ensuring players develop confidence and skill.

As the children progress, contact is introduced gradually with a focus on safety and technique, creating a fun and supportive learning environment.
